AP Limited Editions Urushi Lacquer Art Fountain Pen – The Magical Urushi Yellow
This finish is centered around brightness and surface variation.
The Magical Urushi Yellow uses a saturated yellow urushi base as its foundation, creating a strong, consistent color across the pen. That base is layered with a mix of embedded inclusions—gold fragments alongside red, green, and darker elements—distributed across the surface in an irregular pattern.
There’s no fixed arrangement.
Some areas remain relatively open, allowing the base color to show through clearly, while others carry a higher concentration of inclusions. The shapes vary as well, from small flecks to more elongated or clustered forms, giving the surface a sense of movement without repeating any specific pattern.
The Clip
Fitted with a standard AP gold-toned clip.
It’s kept intentionally simple.
The smooth, tapered form and rounded end provide a clean visual contrast to the more active lacquer surface, helping maintain balance without introducing additional complexity.
